Enter the six-door Ford F-450 conversion—a vehicle so long it needs its own zip code and so expensive it makes most supercars look like a bargain.

Recently, a custom 2020 F-450 Platinum stretched by the specialists at Stretch My Truck hit the auction block, and the numbers surrounding it are enough to give any accountant a heart attack.


The Engineering of Absurdity

Turning a standard crew cab into a six-door titan isn’t as simple as welding on a bit of extra metal. It is a ground-up reconstruction that involves:

  • Frame Stretching: The chassis must be cut and extended to accommodate the third row of doors while maintaining structural integrity for towing.
  • Body Realignment: Custom body panels and a third set of OEM-style doors are integrated to make the truck look like it rolled off the Ford assembly line that way.
